Chef de Partie – Film Catering (Zero-Hour Contract)
Looking for flexible, high-paced chef work with early starts and varied locations? Appetite4Work is hiring experienced Chef de Parties to support our client’s film and TV catering operations across the Oxford and West London area. If you have experience in crew catering and enjoy working as part of a mobile team, this could be the role for you.
This is a zero-hour, temporary agency role with early morning shifts (typically 04:00 or 05:00 starts) and long working days. Locations vary and can include both base kitchens and on-location units. You’ll need your own transport and the flexibility to travel or stay away when needed (accommodation provided when off-site).
What you’ll do:
- Prepare, cook, and serve large volumes of food for cast and crew on set and on location.
- Support the team across breakfast, lunch, and wrap meals in temporary kitchen environments.
- Maintain high hygiene and food safety standards while working in remote or mobile setups.
What you’ll need:
- Proven experience in crew catering or film location catering (craft services experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis).
- Level 2 Food Safety and Allergens Awareness certificates (completed within the last 2 years – free training available if needed).
- Full chef whites, hat, apron, suitable non-slip footwear, and your own knives.
- A full UK driving licence and your own transport, due to shift times and location changes.
Essential info:
- £17.00 per hour, plus holiday pay accrued separately.
- Weekly pay every Friday through Appetite4Work (PAYE).
- Ongoing shifts from the next few weeks until at least November.
- Mainly Monday to Friday, but weekend availability is required.
- Travel and accommodation covered for off-site shoots when applicable.
