You should have a strong grasp of the hospitality world (or a background in fast-paced temporary recruitment), exceptional organisational skills, and the confidence to engage and inspire others on a daily basis. This role is located in our Horsham town centre office.


Building relationships quickly and effectively is key, along with a positive attitude and the drive to make things happen.


The Role

No two days are ever the same here. If you enjoy variety and high energy, you’ll love the pace. A typical week includes:

  • Candidate Resourcing & Management (40%): You will be the leader of your own team of chefs. You'll be responsible for placing creative ads, screening CVs, and interviewing to find the best talent. You’ll source, and onboard top-tier chefs, ensuring your team is high-performing and well-supported.
  • Clients & Relationships (40%): You will be the face of the Sussex Chef business, engaging with clients daily to understand their needs and matching staff to their requirements. You’ll visit high-profile venues and support them on event days to ensure everything runs flawlessly.
  • Operational Essentials (20%): You’ll manage the "engine room" of your desk—maintaining accurate paperwork, updating records, and ensuring timely payment for temporary staff. These tasks are the backbone of our smooth operations, and is what keep our teams loyal and consistently working with us.


The Package

  • Competitive Salary based on experience: £28,000–£35,000 per year, plus rewarding quarterly bonuses.
  • Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays.
