Appetite4Work is looking for reliable Kitchen Assistants to join our agency team for school catering roles across Hertfordshire and Essex. This is professional kitchen work with a structured, daytime schedule, no late finishes and no weekends.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you are the engine room of the service. You’ll be responsible for supporting the chefs with basic food prep, managing the wash-up area, and ensuring the kitchen meets high hygiene standards. You will also assist with food service and clearing dining areas.

What You’ll Need:

Compliance: An Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) is essential. If you don't have one, we can process and manage the application for you.
Transport: Own transport is ideal, or you must have a reliable way to get to schools for early starts (07:00-09:00).
Reliability: Schools depend on us. We need people who show up on time and work hard.
Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment is a big plus.
