Appetite4Work are looking for a Recruitment Manager to lead a brand-new education desk in our London office.
The Person
How would you like to spend your working week meeting and talking to people? Would you like to see behind the scenes of some of London’s busiest schools and colleges? If you love the hospitality industry, love people and like the sound of managing your own team of top notch staff, this could be the opportunity for you!
This role would perfectly suit a Catering Manager or Chef from an educational setting background looking for a change of direction, or an Temporary Education Recruiter looking for a new sector. You’ll need to be a natural at building relationships, have great organisational skills and the confidence to lead a team of Chefs and Catering Assistants. Working with schools, a sharp eye for detail and a focus on compliance is vital and a non negotiable. You'll also need to be a morning person for those 7:00 am starts!
The Role
No day is ever the same here, if you like variety this role will certainly suit you. You'll be joining us to lead a warm start-up desk, the clients are ready and waiting for you to build something great. A typical week could see you spending your time on:
- Candidate Resourcing & Management: Placing ads, screening CVs and interviewing to find great people for your team. Because we work with schools, compliance is paramount, you’ll be a stickler for safeguarding and background checks. To your team of Chefs and Catering Assistants you will be their go to, their leader and consultant. Looking after your people is fundamental to your success and growing your desk, which equals more bonus in your pocket!
- Clients & Schools: You will talk to your clients every day about their requirements, their staff, and maybe the odd snow day chaos. You’ll be happy to hop on the tube to go and see them for a coffee, and occasionally be on site for a busy lunch service to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Admin: You will make sure appropriate paperwork is kept on file for all staff. Client records will be kept up to date and all temp staff are always paid correctly and on time. It's the engine room of the desk that keeps everything moving.
The Package
- Competitive Salary: £28k–£35k per year plus Bonus.
- Work-Life Balance: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. (No more late nights!)
