Catering Assistant – Schools & Education - Hertfordshire

We're Appetite4Work, a hospitality staffing agency operating across Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas. We're looking for catering assistants to join our bank of staff across a range of school catering environments.

The work

No two shifts are identical. You might be front of house serving students at lunch, in the kitchen helping with food prep, or on the wash-up, keeping things moving. Some sites are standard day schools; others are boarding schools with later finishes and weekend shifts.

You'll need

• Own transport — sites are spread across Hertfordshire and a car is essential
• An enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months, or on the Update Service
• Flexibility with hours and locations
• A reliable, can-do attitude

Previous catering or school experience is a bonus, not a requirement.

Pay & terms

• From £13.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
• Paid every Friday

Before you apply

You're joining our staffing bank, not a guaranteed role. Shifts are offered as they come in and matched to your availability and location.

A new DBS will be required as part of joining us, but in most cases, you can start working while yours is being processed, provided you already have a valid one in place.
