Let's be honest, agency work isn't for everyone. But if you're a proper chef with solid experience and you're tired of the same four walls, this could be for you.

We're Appetite4Work and we need reliable, skilled chefs for temporary shifts across Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties. We're talking about all levels here: Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, right up to Head Chef.

This isn't about working for us; it's about working with us. You're in charge. You tell us when you're free, and we give you the shifts. Simple as that.

The Nitty Gritty

Pay: £16.00 to £22.00 per hour, depending on the role and the site. We pay you every Friday. Your holiday pay builds up on top of that.

Where: Gastro pubs, contract catering sites, event venues, even care homes and schools. The work is varied, so you won't get bored.

Hours: It's a zero-hour contract. You choose your shifts using our app.

Transport: Having your own transport is a big plus. Some of the best places are a bit out of the way.

What You Need to Bring

At least 3 years' experience in a professional kitchen.

The relevant food safety and allergens certificates. If yours are out of date, no drama, we'll sort you out with the training for free.

Your own gear: whites, knives, safety shoes, the lot.

The right to work in the UK.
