Appetite4Work are recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to join a busy regional hub of a global advisory, broking, and solutions firm in Reigate, Surrey. This site is part of a wider network with sister offices in Redhill, London, and Ipswich.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity: you will initially work for 12 weeks on a temporary basis (paid hourly, weekly), with the opportunity to move into a permanent contract if both parties are happy.

  • Monday to Friday schedule – no weekends 07:00 – 18:00 (occasional hospitality events)
  • Temp-to-perm (12-week temp period → permanent contract)
  • Daytime hours (early start, early finish)

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and motivate the kitchen team
  • Lead by example in a fast-paced environment


Menu Development

  • Create and cost seasonal, fresh, and innovative menus
  • Deliver high-quality food offerings across daily service and events


Operational Management

  • Manage stock control and supplier relationships
  • Maintain strong GP margins and adhere to budgets

Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with food hygiene, health & safety, and legislation


Culinary Excellence

  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to a high standard


About You:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a professional kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen financials and operations
