About the Role

As a General Catering Assistant, you'll support the kitchen team with food preparation, serving meals, maintaining cleanliness and ensuring pupils receive a high quality catering service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation.
• Serve food to pupils and staff.
• Operate tills where required.
• Clear tables and keep dining areas clean and tidy.
• Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Help maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
• Follow food safety, allergen and health & safety procedures.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a General Catering Assistant, Catering Assistant, Kitchen Assistant or Food Service Assistant within a commercial or school catering environment is essential.
• A positive, reliable and professional attitude.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• A willingness to work as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence preferred, but not required. Due to the variety of school locations, being able to travel independently is an advantage.
• Right to work in the UK.
