Temporary Care Home Chefs Needed – All Levels | London | £16+ per hour


Are you a skilled and compassionate chef looking for flexible work across London? We are currently recruiting Temporary Care Home Chefs of all levels to support a range of care home clients throughout the capital.


This is a fantastic opportunity to use your culinary skills in a meaningful setting, helping to provide nutritious, comforting meals to residents.


The Role

You will be working within care home kitchens, preparing and delivering high-quality meals tailored to residents’ dietary needs, including modified diets and allergen-aware menus. You’ll support existing teams or lead shifts where required, ensuring excellent standards of food safety and hygiene.


Pay Rate

£16+ per hour, with rates depending on your level of experience and responsibility.


Requirements

Minimum 6 months’ experience working in a care home or similar catering environment

A valid Enhanced DBS certificate (issued within the last 2 years or registered on the Update Service) – essential

Relevant training certificates, including:

Food Hygiene

Health & Safety

Allergen Awareness

Experience with special dietary requirements (e.g., soft diets, pureed meals) is highly desirable

Chef whites and knives (required for certain sites)

Strong organisational skills, reliability, and the ability to adapt to different kitchen environments


Support & Training

If your certifications have expired or you do not currently hold a DBS, we can support you with:

Refresher training courses

Assistance with obtaining a new DBS
