School Chef - Agency (Hertfordshire)

The role

You'll be working on a flexible, temporary basis across a range of schools in north and east Essex, covering term-time assignments that can range from a single day's cover to longer ongoing placements. Some independent schools also need support outside of term. You build your own schedule, work where you want, and we handle everything else. You'll need your own transport and a bit of flexibility with days and hours.

What we offer

Pay between £16.50 and £17.31 per hour, depending on the client, paid every Friday. No chasing, no delays, just weekly pay as a temporary agency worker, every week without fail. You're in control of your diary, and there's no pressure to accept shifts you don't want. Already on the DBS Update Service? We can get you placed quickly. Not yet? We'll cover the cost of your Enhanced DBS.

Before you apply

These are school-based temporary agency roles. Please make sure you can tick all of the following:

• Enhanced DBS for the Child Workforce, completed within the last 12 months and on the Update Service (already on it? You could start straight away)
• Happy for us to process a new DBS through Appetite4Work if needed, we cover the cost
• Own reliable transport to travel across north and east Essex
• Background in education, B&I, or similar volume catering
• 5 years of continuous, verifiable work history
• Two professional references
